Day 4 – 5 Day Black & White/ Monochrome Photo Challenge

HK 1

About a month ago, my friend and I went to one of favourite spots to chit chat and have some cocktails. It was very cloudy and raining pretty heavily, but glad we could still see a stunning view like this under a terrible weather. The view somehow initiated my thoughts about Hong Kong. I always complain how crowded and polluted Hong Kong is, but I don’t seem to appreciate Hong Kong enough. It may be very crowded. It may be highly polluted. However, it certainly has its own beauty and uniqueness (e.g. the food, the skyscrapers, the diverse cultures, the infrastructure, etc). Instead of complaining, I should focus on the good to generate more positive energies in order to live a happy life. 🙂

  1. There’s something beautiful to be found in every city. If you live in the city and regularly become angry with pollution or crowds (including many tourists) it’s easy to overlook what outsiders can see so readily. Your photo illustrates this so well, as do your accompanying words. It’s a stunning view and a beautiful photo altogether. Well done with that, Khloe. 🙂

  2. Wah, what a great shot Khloe…you will have to tell me where this place is 🙂 I’ve returned to HK from my stay in Hangzhou, and it seems every year I say this “it is so damp…”. And yes, Hong Kong has so many positives ~ a great place.

    1. Aww your kind words made me blushed and thank you so much for your support Randall! ❤ So so chuffed you enjoyed it 🙂 🙂 🙂 I got this shot from Cafe Grey Deluxe located at The Upper House. They serve really nice cocktails there. Although I'm not a fan of alcoholic drinks, their cocktails win my heart. Do try them if you have time 😉 hahaha yes, sure Hong Kong is a nice place ❤ 😉

  3. Hong Kong or 香港 or Fragrant Harbour is a beautiful yet vibrant city that lights up beautifully at night in bright neon lights. It may be crowded but it has its nooks and crannies of beautiful scapes, old buildings and lovely architecture. It was home to me for 2 years once and I learnt its unique culture and though Asian Chinese, could see the differences in food though I have eaten the same type of food in Little Red Dot. Lovely photo!! 😊 Be proud of Hong Kong…it has survived colonial rule and it will survive SAR regime ☺

  4. I totally agree! Although most of my oversea friends envy about I’m living in a country with fresh air, blue sky, beautiful environment, I still would complaint bout’ this boring states sometime, I always think Melbourne and Sydney are better, but when think of the fast pace lifestyle in the East coast, I started to think I’m glad I’m living in this relaxing freestyle west coast hehe xD
